It could be a bluff to get the oil agreement done and new GOI formed. One thing for sure, if they do, it's a setback for Iraqi dinar investors. Clearly, the Kurds are frustrated for whatever the reasons..they are being held back for years. We have to wait and see.

The provincial government (KRG) plans to issue currency in cash to complete the steps to secede from Iraq
BAGHDAD / Obelisk: A source familiar with the Kurdistan Regional Government, on Saturday, for the determination of the provincial government to issue its own currency in the province in order to achieve the goal of secession from Iraq.
